Intermediate Chalk Pastels with Sue Schreiber, Artist

Join experienced tutor and practising artist, Sue Schreiber for an intermediate course in chalk pastel drawing. Over six weeks, students who have attended the beginner course will delve further into this popular medium. Learn how to employ colour theory to create depth, balance tonal relationships, and to convey proportion and angles. Create a new chalk artwork each week, backed by multiple preliminary exercise sketches. Pastels are an easy-to-use and “forgiving” drawing medium suitable for a variety of surfaces including paper, board and canvas. Finished pastel drawings have a rich quality which can easily be mistaken for a painting - without the mess!

This course is best suited for people who already have experience with chalk pastels or are already proficient with drawing techniques and would like to branch out into chalk pastels.
