Artist Showcase | Rose Rigley

Rose Rigley was born in Brisbane, Queensland, in 1968. She is a Cairns-based artist who works across a range of media, including sculptural assemblage, drawing, mixed media, and artist books.

In 2014 her exhibition at the Cairns Art Gallery, Letters to my Father her work focused on the fragility of memory. Specifically, she explored ways in which people store and access core memories, and how subtle nuances of memory operate shape and define the individual.

Rose has held a number of solo exhibitions in and around Cairns and her work has been included in several group exhibitions.
