Mollie Bosworth was born in Ingham. Queensland, in 1955. Mollie is a ceramic artist who lives and works in Kuranda, Queensland. Much of her work is inspired by the unique flora and fauna of the tropical rainforest that surrounds her studio on the Tablelands.
Mollie has a lifelong fascination with exploring the properties and processes of cyanotypes and ceramics. Through her work she celebrates ‘uncertain outcomes’ and ‘chance happenings’ that are the result of her experimentation.
Mollie has exhibited extensively both nationally and internationally and her works on paper and ceramics are held in many public and private collections. In 2018 she had a major solo exhibition of new cyanotypes and ceramic works at the Cairns Art Gallery entitled Mollie Bosworth: The Nature of Blue.
