Julie Poulson was born in Brisbane, Queensland, in 1958 and she currently lives and works in Cairns, Queensland.
Julie works across a range of media, including painting, sculpture, stitched assemblages, mixed media, as well as ceramics and wall-based installations.
Julie’s work has a delightfully unpredictable style, taking elements and objects of everyday life and re-presenting and re-interpreting them as part of her ongoing quest for new visual narratives.
Since the 1990s, Julie has exhibited in Far North Queensland, and undertaken a number of public art commissions for hotels in Brisbane, the Gold Coast and Cairns region.
