Jennifer Valmadre was born in 1963 and she lives and works in Cairns, Queensland. She works across a range of media, including sculpture, ceramics, and encaustic painting.
Jennifer is passionate about exploring new ideas and experimenting with new media. Her proficient use of different media allows her to freely pursue new ideas without being limited or constrained by materials and particular techniques.
Jennifer has been represented in a number of group and solo exhibitions in the region since the early 2000s, and in 2012 her work was recognised in a documentary film by Catherine Hunter Productions entitled Savannah Country: the art of Julie Poulsen and Jenny Valmadre. Her work is held in public and private collections, including the Cairns Art Gallery, Queensland.
